Blogging experience

In my point of view this experience, the "blogging experience", is so useful for us as learners of English because we can improve our writing skills and our reading comprehension.

We usually don't have the time to do this writing activities just because we are too busy doing other kinds of things like other subject homework or even our work esperience don't leave us the enough time to study english, wich I think is very unfair.

I really had a good time doing this posts even though I'm not a computer person ,you know? I'm so late about this technological instruments like the internet , but this blog really helped me because I know that in the future everything will have to be in the computer and everyone will have to know how to use it and how to deal with it.

As I'm not a technological person, I will have to learn everything about it and I think this is my first step to it.

I've never had a blog and to show my interests and my personal opinion about some sort of things it was amazing , I used to think that these things were just for fun and that the people who use these things didn't have anything else to do but I realized that I was so wrong because this way to share information, to share ideas and to share opinion is really interesting and funny and comfortable because you can read about everything here just from your home.( If you have a computer, of course)

About the blog, is so useful in many ways, first of all we practice our writing skills as I already said, other thing we learned is to give our opinion, every time we posted we had to give our opinion about other people's post and that was a really cool idea because we could give our opinion even if you agree with the writter or not, I think it was really good.

I really enjoyed doing these activities...

Lucky number

I really don't believe in these things so much ...like the "lucky number"..but ...I have one favorite number...and it is seven.

I really don't know why , but ....I think its cute, hahah...I don't have any idea ...I just pick one number...

My daddy used to like this number...he told me that if I played the lottery and I chose that number I would probably win a lot of money...but...anyway I've never tried...

He thought that this number was his lucky number...and...probalby because of that I think it is my favorite one.

My House

Ok…this looks easy but it really isn’t…

My house is pretty big , my mother decided to build it as big as possible I think , because there’re some places in my house that we really don’t use….and I think they are a waste of space.

But…anyway...I love and hate my house at the same time , it’s kind of confusing…I love it because it ‘is really my place, the place where I can do what I want , where I share with my lovely family and where I like to be most of the time , and I hate it …just because I loved more the house that we had when I was a little child I didn’t want to move…oh God I loved that house!...but…just details..

A place I would like to visit....

I would like to visit every single place in my country....but the place that I think I would like the most is the north of Chile ,maybe San Pedro de Atacama because Ì've known that it's a place full of quiet places and many foreign people go there , I think it would be very very relaxing to go there during my vacations.

Maybe I could try to do some sport there like Sandboard ..that's one of the things I'm looking forward to learn and...all that kind of sports: Snowboard, Surfing and Sandboard.

And also I could see the desert wich I think is great ....or the "Salar de Atacama"...wich is beautiful I think.

The other place thati would like to visit is the south ....once I went to the national park Conguillio...and it is beautiful I would like to go there again....

But anyway .....I have to save a lot of money togo there..so I really don't think I would go soon.

MOTIVATION ESSAY

Ok …after reading the article of motivation I decided to do it about this topic. I completely agree with the ideas that are explained in it , actually, I’m trying to apply the thing about the rewards and punishment when I’m in the school, I really know how important is to be reward if you do something good at school, even if you just answer a question with the correct answer and the teacher say to you that that’s ok.

It is so comforting when you sense that your teacher trust in you and encourage you by saying that you have all the abilities to be such a great student and if you keep like that you’re going to climb very high in the mountain of life ( I always remember that a teacher told me that when I was about to give the PSU)

Ok , but , talking about the essay, I’m going to write about this issue “the motivation” and maybe I’ll complement it with other article…I don’t know yet.

why is it so important?

Uufff tough question! it is important because of so many things that I don't know how can I start.

Fisrt of all you're educating children , the future of our country , the ones who could really make a change in our so narrow-minded society, so why is it important? here's my answer. Nowadays some teachers are so decifient in their duties s educators , the just do this job because it's simply a job, and let's be realistics , a teacher doesn't make huge amounts of money so I don't really understand why are they doing this , the should know how harmful are they being doing their jobs badly.The're teaching to our future (children) to be mediocre and to be indifferent and unconcient about our reality.

this is just one thing , one little aspect of why it is so important.

I truly believe that we as critic teacher should put our education in the right why in the right road because it's loosing its main point that it's to build persons who can really coexist with others in a good way and cooperate with the construction of a better country to live.

Victory City

ok ,...let's start talking about this future city like if we were living in it.

It would be so comfortable to be in a a city where everyhthing is near and maybe all the things yo could ever need would be just in one building!

It wold be just awesome, because if you want to go to by some clothes for your kids you may go to the first floor and the if you want to go to the supermarket you just have to go up one floor.

It is mention in this future city webpage that cars won't be necessary inside the city because of this elevator transportation system and it would be reallly grat because of the pollution issue, it will avoid all those kinds of problems like the flu that you could get because of the pollution and many more.

but , in the other hand, it surely has a bad side,because if you start to think that everything you could ever want you could get it in just one building people's physical shape would start to change,have you ever seen Wall-E , the film?...

well...in this movie you can see that people is living in a very advance city in a ship in the space , very very comfortable, but they are not even able to walk just because of this electric wheelchair that it is supposed to take you wherever you want and you don't have to make any effort to move your body. I think that's not so good.

In the fim you can see that people are so fat and useless at the time of walking that it really impress me.

I think a city of the future like Victory city may have some advantages and desadvantages , it could be very comfortable but maybe unhealthy too.

2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wel...first of all I haven't heard much about this "doomsday" thing....
Some people say that the end of the world is near and that everyone is going to die, ( all this because of the prediction wich was made for the Aztecs) but , I really don't thing it's going to happen that way .

I honestly believe that the world is going to keep moving the same way and, people will still be alive at that date!

Personally, I have other plans to my future and as I said in the post below , I'll be working at that time saving some money to study abroad for a while and really build my own life.

Sometimes people who talk about this topic scare me a lot because sometimes I start to believe in it but I forget it pretty soon because when the year 2000 came there were people who thought the same : that the end was near and stuffs like that and in the end it didn't happen.

But I truly think that it is not going to happen......right?

Dreams

Well...It's hard to do this ,I mean, write about my dreams in the future.
I really like to think and dream about the thing that I want to achieve in my life and things that I want to do in the future but the thing is....I don't know what is going to happen in a few years, actually I don't even know what is going to happen in the next five minutes!!

So, I´m going to tell you my possible plan for my future...
After the university I want to work for a while and then just travel to other place or country, I want my wings to spread up and fly away from here like it is said in the Aerosmith's song, and of course learn new things, try new things , meet a lot of people and places in the world, study other career and then come back with my beautiful family that I live so much and I'm sure that I'm going to miss .

Living Alone

How important independence is?

Independence, in my opinion, is the thing that everyone longs to have in our life.

Sometimes when you're young maybe a teenager you feel that your parents are invading your privacy and the only thing you want in that very moment is independence , a place where you can do everything that comes to your mind , or where nobody could tell you something off about something you did wrong , because sometimes your parents are always critizicing you even if you did something good, but that's just because the want the best thing for us.

I have to admit I sometimes have felt that way , and that the only thing I wanted was a place for my own, I mean, like an apartment just to have my own privacy, but sometimes I regreat about that feeling because I start to analize my life and it is pretty good.

I'm still completly dependant of my mother , maybe not as when I was a little child but in many ways I actually am.

I really like it this way because my mother is happy like this , she says she doesn't want to be alone and that she doesn't want to feel like if nobody need her.

Do you undertand my point?
I really hope so....

Favorite Movie

One of my favorite movies is "Forrest Gump" by the American dicrector Robert Zemeckis.
In my opinion the main charater of this movie is represented by one of the best actors in the world:
Tom Hanks.
This movie is a comedy and it is dramatic at the same time. It had thirteen Oscar nominations but it just win six of them
including Best movie, Best Actor ( Tom Hanks) and Best Director (Robert Zemeckis).

The story of the movie is about a simpleton young man who met important people through his life and he was witness of
very important events in his country but he never realized about what was happening or who was he meeting.
He was sort of retard but he could survive to all the challenges the life gave to him.
He went to the Vietam war, won a lot of prizes,became into a war hero, run all around his country for a long long time,
fell in love with his only friend fron childhood Jenny,and at the end he got married with her and had a son much more inteligent
that his father Forrest.

It's a very emotive movie, every time I watch it I cry, It's a beautiful and tender movie that I can't get bored watching it.
All I can say right now is that It's my favorite movie.
and I'm going to watch it right now!

My Favorite Song

My favorite song by far is " Father and son" by the British singer Cat Stevens.
The sound of the song is very relaxing and pleasing.

I first heard it when I was a little girl because my father liked this singer,so
every time I hear this song It reminds me my childhood and the most important thing
is that it reminds me my father.

I really like this song because I imagine that the person who is singing it is my father and he is
talking to my brother who is near to get married and in one verse it says: " Find a girl, settle down,
if you want you can marry"... and that's just what my brother is going through.

Personally , I can't stop playing this song , it's very emotive for me and I really enjoy listening to it.

the best blog....

ok....I was doing a little bit of "Internet zapping" on my classmates' blogs and it was pretty difficult to have just one favorite blog because they are all pretty nice, beautiful an colorful like lissette's or Carla's but the one that I liked the most was Nicky's.

Her blog has a great style , It's just like her!...She likes colors and her blog has lots, it's just so bright with all those colors and I think it reflects her personality , a happy really happy girl.

The blog's name is really interesting and ingenious and what came to my mind when I read it is a spell of the Harry Potter movie which I know Nicky loves.
The photographs that she upladed are so gorgeous and colorful and I think that's the reason why I picked this one as my favorite.

Also I liked the things she had wrote..I agree with almost all the thing she wrote.

What I don't really like is that it hasn't a picture of her , I would've liked it more if it would have been a nicky's photo.

anyway, this is my favorite blog and I'm stick to my decision.

Complaint

Dear Mayor:

I'm writing to draw your attention to the problem of information that is not been given to the people of my borough.
I must inform you how shocked I was with an information that I didn't know it existed at all. I was working at the restaurant and a couple of costumers started a conversation with me and they told me that they were two monitors of the activities that have place in the gym of the township wich actually I didn't know it existed either.
How can that be possible?, I live just a few blocks away from the municipality and I didn't know that there were summer activities and I'm pretty sure that my neighbours didn't know either.

I really think you should solve this problem by doing some information activity that include all the people who live in the borough because it could be very helpful for some people who couldn't go out on vacations to get the summer going or those physical activities could be really helpful for people who like sports and don't have the money to pay a particulary gym, and so on.

I hope this matter will be resolved as soon as possible and that it will receive your immediate attention because people of your own borough could be better off with those kinds of activities.

My Easter...

ok...

My easter was just ok. I'm not that kind of person who goes to the church in days like these but the thing I did was to be with all my family and just have a nice time together , We also have very good news share with each other , for example that my brother is getting married on December of this year and that two of my cousins are going to be parents again! so the family is getting bigger and bigger, and all that is going to happen this year so ...we conclude that this year is going to be spectacular!

I really love to be with my family , we , I mean my cousins, brother and me, still exchange those chocolate eggs even though we're not children anymore and the very best thing is that this kind of moments are still fun for us because we're so closed to each other.

I really enjoy this easter , I hope you readers had enjoyed this recent easter as much as I did.

An aspect of my culture I dissaprove of...

I just don't undestand why chilean people always do their duties the day before and even the minute before.
We always finish our duties in the last minute even if we have time to do it before , I think we (I dont know if this is the right word but...) we "prefer" to do thing in the last minute.
There are some people who have told me that they work better under pressure, so it's sort of a common custome to do things this way.
Unfortunately I'm one of this bunch of people, I'm always doing my stuffs and duties the munite before the dead line. It's just because I'm a little lazy.

Other Thing I relly don't like is when people arrive late to everywhere!
I mean, it's ok when you eventually arrive late somewhere but not always.
I tried to explain the following case to my interviewee:
If you were the boss of your own company, would you like your employees to arrive late and give the files you asked them to give you ,would you like them to give it to you late??
I don't think so.

I've never seen this website before and I really think it is amazing.

When I first saw it I thought that is was good already , just because it was full of links and it had variated links to suit all the tastes: to improve pronunciation , to look for some quizzes, links for the teachers and some others special links.

I got into the pronunciation site and checked it and it's a really good site to practice. It has listening excersices which you can put, hear and repeat the times you want,it's pretty cool and really helpful because someone could learn English just by doing these kinds of excersices and practices.
The pronunciation of the woman who talks is very clear, so everyone could understand.

Other thing that I saw was the listening quizzes of this pronunciation link and I realized that we , as english students, can improve our knowledge in the phonetic subject.
Everything in this space has to do with phonemes, allophonems and the phinetic symbols , so it's very helpful and useful also.

There's also a link for teachers where there are some tips of activities for the teachers to do in a class with their students. I thinks that's very useful because teacher can innovate their methods and be more creative an dinamic.

I really loved this website and I'm going to look a it pretty often.

Ok....I will try to introduce myself, but I can assure you that I'm not so good doing these kind of things, but I'll do my best.



I guess everyone who is going to read this has heard something about me,at least my name, so I think everyone knows a little bit about me.



I'm going to start just by saying what my friends think about me because is very difficult when somenone ask you to describe yourself.

I'm a nice girl who is always trying to make people laugh , I'm sometimes funy and I like to be like this ,to make people laugh cheers me up when I'm down.

It's obvious that I got angry sometimes but it's just normal ,and my friends know that when I'm angry they better don't talk to me because I usually yell at people, not always but sometimes.

I like to spend time with my family and friends ,hang out with them and have fun, go to the mall, go to the movies and thing like that.

I hope you like my Blog , I've never had one before , so this is my first one and have fun and enjoy it.
